Pinball Land arcade in Rockford, MI is an awesome venue for your next birthday party, family reunion, holiday party, or any other special event. We are affordable, clean, convenient and most importantly outrageously fun with something for everyone! Keep reading to get an idea of what you can expect at a private party at Pinball Land.
When Can I Have a Private Party at Pinball Land?
You can have your party before we open to the public or after we close any day of the week except Mondays. All Private Parties at Pinball Land are 2 hours long.
We generally book up fast and highly recommend booking your party at least 2 months ahead to get the date you want.
How Many Guests Can I Invite to My Party?
Pinball Land has over 20 pinball machines and over 50 video arcade machines available to play at any given time, so we can accommodate a bunch of players at once! If everyone’s coming to to your party ready to play, we recommend no more than 50 guests.
We also have 3 four-foot tables with chairs available for the perfect birthday party setup. The tables can seat up to 12 people with additional chairs available for some spillover seating.
Who Can Play at My Private Party?
We highly recommend that all guests come to your party prepared to play! There’s something for everyone at Pinball Land regardless of age or skill level.
If pinball isn’t your thing, hey, no worries. We have some of the very best video arcade games of all time ranging all the way from 1978 to the early 2000’s. Our head-to-head racing games, target shooting games and sports games appeal to even the most casual of gamers. We will have something your guests will want to play!
Due to the size and nature of pinball machines and retro video arcade games, we recommend all players be at least 6 years old. We have step stools available for shorter players.
Private Party Behavior Expectations
It’s important to understand that the games at Pinball Land are not “Chuck-E-Cheese” style games where you bash buttons and win tickets. We have only classic skill-based video games and pinball machines on the floor – some are genuine antiques!
That being the case, we do not allow abusive, malicious play. Abusive players be given a verbal warning from the staff and will then lose their playing privileges after a second warning.
We want everyone to have fun, but fun doesn’t have to come in the form of destruction. We expect our games and facility to be treated respectfully.
Besides, it’s more fun that way.
Food and Drink at Your Private Party
When you book a Private Party at Pinball Land it’s YOUR party!
That means you may bring whatever you would like to drink and munch on. We will have our candy and soda pop for sale, or you can bring a cooler full of your favorite beverages and snacks.
For adult parties, keep in mind that Pinball Land is included inside Rockford’s RORA zone. This means you can bring in drinks from any nearby bar or restaurant and bring them in to enjoy while you party. It’s like having our own bar!
We only ask that you please do not bring in ice cream or anything with a sticky sauce, like chicken wings or cut fruit.
For birthday parties, feel free to bring a cake (cupcakes work great!) but please, no ice cream. We do not have a freezer and ice cream tends to make quite a mess. There are a number of really nice ice cream parlors around Rockford so you can grab some after your party.
If you have any questions about what you can bring to your private party, please ask!
Make a wish! You’ve gotta blow out the candles on your birthday! We’ve found that cupcakes are an easier, cleaner, just as yummy alternative to cutting up a traditional cake.
Arcade Party Decorations – What Can I Bring?
Pinball Land isn’t just a game room – it’s a full-blown arcade with all the décor you remember from back in the day. We have neon lights, TVs playing retro cartoons, video game posters, arcade game marquees and so much more. We come dressed to impress and ready to party!
If you would like to bring your own special decorations like balloons, tablecloths, and anything else for a fun themed party, you are welcome to do so! Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of your party to set up. We’ll give you a hand!
These folks went all-out with awesome decorations for their son’s Birthday Party and it looks amazing! You can decorate our tables and party area with whatever decorations you wish to bring. Or, let our authentic arcade ambiance be your décor.
Recommended Private Party Event Schedule
You are more than welcome to set your own party itinerary, however with all the fun and excitement – especially at a Birthday Party – it’s easy to lose track of time.
Therefore, we recommend the following event schedule for a 2-hour morning Birthday Party:
9:45 – Arrive with Food and/or Decorations
10:00 – Party Starts, Game On!
11:00 – Cake and Presents
11:30 – Game On!
12:00 – Party Ends
