Back in the 1980’s, if you wanted to try a video game before buying it, your main option was to rent the game from your local video rental store. Nintendo thought of another concept: playing games for their Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) on a Play Choice arcade cabinet.
Originally, the Nintendo Play Choice arcade games were coin-operated and gave you a time limit to play the games (extendable by inserting more quarters) however at Pinball Land you can play all you want! Our Play Choice cabinet is a “Play Choice 10” which means it contains 10 different NES games to choose from.

Anyone who grew up with the NES will recognize many of these games, but Micro Mages will probably be new to most players – it was developed in 2019!
This cute vertical platformer brings many modern “quality of life” enhancements to the traditional genre including wall jumping and tight, familiar controls. The sprites may be tiny, but the game takes full advantage of the available real estate, filling the screen with intricate graphics and challenges.

It’s fun to play games you’ve played a thousand times again on the Play Choice arcade. The monitor is slightly different from a standard television set, so familiar graphics have a fresh feel. The Nintendo arcade joysticks are snappy and comfortable, very easy to adjust to if you’re used to the classic gamepad or NES Advantage.
